Redditch 2

Peterson was right. The fire was suspicious. But it wasn't actually a bomb this time like Peterson thought.

I've submitted a report of the composition of the charring, and no doubt Wedge and Julian will respond to it soon. Why? There are unmistakable remains of dragon fire. Fire produced by dragons is actually very different to normal fire - for a start, it's more like a plasma fire rather than combustion. The details aren't really relevant, other than there are definite trace elements and molecules remaining once something is torched (if you know what to look for, of course).

It was a medical research lab. Yes, 'was' - it's a blackened mess now. There wasn't a clear mark from Methias, but under infrared scanners the mark appeared on the wall.

Peterson joined us - he insisted, and Wedge I don't think could be bothered to stop him. I guess we did owe him for finding it for us. And leaving the scene untouched until we got there. He's proving to be a really good ally; he proved he could be trusted. And didn't seem to mind us talking about things he didn't understand.

Julian is analysing the body as we speak - there was a charred body buried among the rubbish.
